I realize that I’ve been spreading myself too thin. I’ve been trying to perform the Herculean task of doing a review every day, and it seems to be too much as of late.
Instead I, Jesse Hecht of Jesse Hecht C.R.E.A.T.I.V.E. will scale this back. Instead of six updates a week, I will try for three updates a week. At the very least, this new workload will allow for more future updates to be completed, eventually creating a backlog that will eventually restore the six updates a day.
In this new format, I will focus on creating more bite-sized content (roughly 500 words, so twice this post’s word count) while not compromising my writing style. I may have to cut out more of the flowery words and lose some embellishing, but it’s better to skip the garnish than to serve a poorly created peach mousse (Wikipedia “garnish” for the obscure reference) than to not serve it at all. I will also focus more on balancing humor and facts, making this a tricky tightrope to cross. After, they say that knowing is half the battle, so shouldn’t the other half be entertaining so as to remember the knowledge gained?
I also realize that maybe reading is dying out, so with some reviews (similar to the Astral Doctor Strange Review) I will have an accompanying video that recaps the review to better understand the subject through a visual medium. I also will be doing video game playthroughs within a week or so, showcasing the 2D Metroid series in full, as well as the 2D Mario games, the 2D Castlevania games, the 2D Kirby games, and maybe even the 2D Mega Man games.
I wish myself luck and I hope you, the reader, do as well. I strive in every post and review to be not only informative, but interesting as well. This may be a lot more to bite off than I can chew, but I believe I can do it. We all have come into times where the odds are stacked against us, but I think that victory is just around the corner. I hope to provide this blog with better and better content within the coming weeks.
